Found.

Where?   Where are you found?

There is this innate longing in the human to be truly found; to be truly found in something MORE. Often times we will try to fill this void that pierces us to our very core with something or someone.  We want them/it to be who we draw our security, purpose, confedienece, soul satisfaction, worth, comfort, identity, fulfillment and very LIFE from.  We are empty and need to be filled,  lost needing to be found, our very being cries it out. It doesn't simply bring it to our attention, making us ponder, no, it demands an answer. "WHERE?", it asks in a state of need, out of a state of well-beyond desperation.

Humanity is crying out, but they don't know what for.  They're crying out for LIFE. To love and to be loved.

"...they have ears, but they do not hear."  They do not hear God Almighty saying, "I AM WHERE." The Lord wants YOU to see that He, Creator of The Universe, wants to come in and be where you're found.  He wants to forgive you of your sin and clothe you in His righteousness.  He is much, much more than your fulfillment.  He wants you to turn you're heart away from darkness and towards Him to be able to hear. To hear that He is Almighty God and you can choose to be FULLY found in Him.

So there it is.  We cannot fill the void or be our 'where'. Only He who has overcome death itself can. The best part? He's available and available in unending abundance.  You can do ETERNITY with The King of Kings as the center of your life.
We are created intentionally to serve The Lord.  To press into and onto Christ.  To be truly found is to choose and to grab ahold of Christ and Him Crucified; to be found is to be In Christ.  We were made for Him.  Nothing and no one except Jesus Christ is worth it.  He is the ONE found worthy.

Jesus is saying, "In ME you are found, no one else. I am the answer, come follow me."  The question is, how will you answer?

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.-Colossians 1:15-20

A Higher Standard.

I have a situation for you to analysis, it is the following:

So, hypothetically someone deeply offends you, and the offender is deeply aware of it, also.

You, the offended can have this hurt or let it go.  In the natural you almost have a right to be offended, even the offender(s) know that.  Maybe this person even knew that their chose could hurt you, or maybe they didn’t. But that is not what the point is in this post.

So here you hypothetically are with the hypothetical RIGHT to be offended.  The offender, hypothetically, has no rights in this situation.  The World’s Standards are real low and they tell you, the offended, have been wronged and thus you should push the offender down into the dirt and spit on them.  Or there are those who try to maintain a ‘higher’ standard and you are told by them to stick your head up, you have a right to hold grudges, get on with your life, and ‘you have more worth than that’.

The above listed standards leave us with something, but it’s not a solution.  In fact, they leave us with problems, hurts, insecurities, death, chains, bondage and often times are the roots of many of the problems you could hypothetically have the rest of your life.   Thus, these standards don’t move us forward, they indeed tear down the offended AND the offender.   Bottom line is darkness offers problems, not solutions.

There are other standards, though. Standards not of the world.  Standards that know no bounds, in forgiveness and many, many other things.  These standards are the supernatural, not the natural. It requires choosing the standards of the supernatural and putting to death the standards of the natural in your life.   It’s possible through THE coolest dude around, God Almighty, who has overcome death, which means He has overcome the world’s standards.

Jesus offers to pour out His Spirit on us, if only we’ll repent and truly chose it! His Children have The Spirit of The Risen Lamb LIVING and reigning abundantly in them! This is the same Jesus who overcame the world, thus those who grab ahold of and receive Him, through His grace and choosing this life in Him, have overcome the world’s standards also.

Jesus leaves us with something, but it’s not problems.  Jesus’s standard is one of radical, true, deep, free, unending, and abounding LIFE and LOVE.  In Christ, we are called to this higher and supernatural standard.

The best part?  This standard isn’t one of death, darkness, and problems.  Christ Jesus’s standard is one in, through, too and Him, it’s not under the law or anything else.  It’s in HE who is LIFE.  In Christ, we sow to Holy Spirit. We don’t sow to darkness.

We can choose alignment with The Living Redeemer as our standard that brings Life, Joy, Passion, Satisfaction, True Identity, Purpose and many other supernatural things or we can choose alignment with darkness as our standard that brings death and all that funk.

So here you go, The Spirit’s standard is one of radical love and forgiveness.  When we choose it we are set free.
In all areas of life, let’s choose The Spirit’s standards.  I am under Him and Praise The Lord that we do NOT have to be subject to anything of this world.  Through my Savior,  I am Redeemed and called HIS!
We get the privilege of choosing to wholly function in The Fullness of Christ, which is unending. Life in Christ is the highest standard and I'm stoked that He gives it too us in such a beautiful way.

Jesus Christ is my standard. And it's all because of Him.

The World offers standard’s that bring problems.
Jesus offers standards that bring solutions.  Eternal, lasting, and more than we can imagine.

Get into The Lord and His Word.  He is LIFE!

Dear child, snap out of it.

He just wants us to see.  He loves us.
Unendingly, crazily, and truly.  He really loves us. And He wants his church to see, there's more.

   I have had my 'sometimes'.
These 'sometimes' occurred when God would clearly tell me, lead me, etc. to do something. Something for Him.
Flesh in me would sometimes say "but God, I..." usually consisting of how I'm just a girl and so and so will think this of me if I and this and that and how I've failed and how I obviously can not do this and how....or why would he chose me.....or I'm not good enough...BUT GOD says kindly, powerfully, supernaturally "Look up."

He says to look up to HIM and to grab a hold of the fact that HE, Christ Jesus, I AM lives and reigns in me.  And He is not sometimes, but He is ALWAYS, and His always will be always.  He is calling His followers to AWAKE to who he is. to go deeper in Him, to snap out of 'I'.  The question is will you?
Jesus is the one I do life in, not darkness.  In Christ, I have ALL of Him. So, I say yes to all ALL of Him. And guess what?
It changes everything.
So, if you're a Believer what will you choose? There is His abundance available unendingly to YOU.
Press into and onto Him. Let go of the limitations on Him placed in you by humanity. BELIEVE. More. And that's the thing, keep choosing Christ's MORE.
Arise above it and choose wholeheartedly to do this Christ life in HIM to the deepest places. Throw of everything else continually and chose Jesus. Jesus must be our all. Fah realzies.

"...and you have been given fullness in Christ."-Colossians 2:10

YOU and I have been given fullness in Christ.  It's a choice to operate in it.
Aslan is on the move and he wants you to be apart of it.  Simply because he loves you.

I could go on. But at the conclusion of this, get into The Word. Truly.

Jesus.

This morning I'm reminded that it's Christ Jesus.
Simply HIM.
Jesus is all that really matters. I'm letting that sink in (again) today. Will you join me?

The Unknown.

The unknown.  I find myself facing it.
And sometimes my flesh wants to feel...
Afraid
Unable
Weak
Dumb
A mess up
Like breaking down
To sum it up, sometimes my flesh wants to feel incompetent.

But praise be to my Faithful Father!  He makes me able to choose Him and all that he is instead.
He is always. Who He is, His word, and His Spirit are constant.
Even though my circumstances and situations change,  He is still The King of Kings and I am still His.

No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath.
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.-In Christ Alone

So in everything in life, I choose my Lord.  He and nothing less is my all.
Through the unknowns;  in, through and too The Almighty I will look up, pressing into and onto HIM.
Praise The Living God, He IS my strength!

It is in His Presence, Power, and Spirit that I do life.  How about you?

His.

That is who I am.

  In Him I am:
Purpose-filled
Excellent
Treasured
Filled with abundant life
Radiant
A warrior
Beautiful
Victorious
Have Him in abundance
Called (and the list goes on...)

Without Christ I am nothing.  Sometimes, I'll think I am, though that in it self proves that I am nothing. But Christ looks at me and He declares 'MINE!'.  And never stops.

You see, He is faithful.  Even though I've sometimes not chosen faithfulness, He always does.  Even though I've sometimes failed to the max,  He always accomplishes above the max.  Even though I've sometimes chosen anger or hurt, He always forgives.  Even in those moments that I really didn't want to chose Him, He has always chosen me.
And that's just it.  He is always.  He has loved me.  Always.

  The best part?
He doesn't look at me and see the wretch that I used to be.  Christ looks at me and sees His.

strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. -Colossians 1:11-14 NASB

...He rescued me, because He delighted in me. -Psalms 18:19

...You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. -Psalms 23:5-6

“But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, The descendants of Abraham My friend. You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its farthest regions, And said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away: -Isaiah 41:8, 9 NKJV

   Who am I?
I am redeemed.

Look up.

Seriously. In Christ, we have LIFE! That's something to set yourself upon!
What you focus on is where you end up. So my question for is simply this: is Christ your focus?
This is something I think we need to continually strive for DEEPER. HE is the one found worthy of your life, and your physical life starts in your not physical mind.

Focus on Christ, His Word, and making an impact for Him. It's a chose.

Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians 3:1-4 NASB

Our Culture has fallen into a lie.

Well, The American Culture has fallen into MANY lies.  But there is one in particular I am writing about.
*drum roll please* (just kidding, if anybody ever gave me one, I'd freak and maybe turn purple)

It is the lie of Can't. But, it seems to be even deeper than that.  It is the lie of not good enough.  It is the lie of 'why should I reach for more or something higher?  I'm living THE LIFE.'  It is the lie of 'oh well I'll just be like this all my life.  Guess it's just the way God made me.'  Can't is a disease.  Many don't know they have it.  If they do, they "CAN'T" get rid of it.  Can't is of the natural, though sinful nature.

We weren't made for what is nature to us.  We were made for more. So much more.
We were meant to rise above.  But, since sin came we must CHOOSE.  Can or Can't?  Christ-Centered or Self-Centered?  Aligned with Christ or Aligned with Flesh? (ouch, that one hurt type a little.)
So, my question for you is, will you CHOOSE to rise above it?  To trust that you have greater purpose?  To strive to live unto The God of The Bible?  To remember that it is The Most High that you are living life unto? To press on and GO HARD?  To remember that is in The Power of The Almighty Abba that you CAN? To make it HIM to the deepest part of you that you place above all else?
Through Christ, I live the CAN life.  Sometimes I have a difficult time walking that out, but that is usually when I haven't been in The Word for a while.
And I'm asking you to do the same.
Get into The Word and Fellowship with The Lord, and CHOOSE to see that you Can shed that sinful nature and choose Christ; the CAN life!
Your purpose is GREATER than this world.
I, truly, can not write enough on this topic.  Though, I do believe it is now time I stop in this post.

The Prodigal Son.

Those of you who have been reading my blog posts for a while probably know that In my Writing book for school, my assignment is often the following or similiar to so:
1.) I have to take notes off of a certain Translation's version of a scripture
2.) I have to use that note outline to write a rough draft of the portion of scripture.
3.) There are other little details I also have to attend to. but it basically comes out with something of this sort:

There was a man of considerable wealth in society; this man had two sons whom he dearly loved.  One day the man's younger son came to him and said that he wanted his portion of inheritance money now.  The gracious father agreed divide the inheritance now and give it to his sons, rather than the immoral son having to wait till it was rightly his.  The younger son spent his money on unspeakable things.  Since he had spent it so extravagantly, the money was soon simply gone.  He had to lower himself and was hired to feed pigs.  Out of starvation, he began to believe even pig food looked attractive to eat.  A wealthy man's son, now completely broke and starving!

Finally, the younger son, full of shame and repentance, came to his senses.  He figured that maybe his father; who treated his servant with the utmost car, unlike the farmer, would allow him to become like a servant and work for him.  He prepared what he would say to his father, and thus began his trek homeward,  Imagine the humiliation!  The younger son, by lowering himself, was manning up.

Long before he reached home his father saw him in the distance.  Because his son was coming home, where he belonged, the father joyously ran towards his son.  You must know, in those days it was like putting yourself on the level of a despicable outcast to run out of excitement.  The father didn't care!  His child had returned!  He compassionately embraced his son who'd been lost.  The younger son began to recite his reasonable speech, though he quickly was cut off by his father's orders.  What was this his dear father was saying?  It couldn't be!  The father was ordering his servants to prepare a feast.  The man's explanation was that his son who was dead was now alive!  How wonderful!  This son of his, he declared, was lost but now found.  Astoundingly, the father had forgiven his son; no strings attached, and was now celebrating him.

While the shocking event occurred, the Elder Son was out working.  Upon his return he heard the festivities and questioned the servants outside.   The servants then went on to tell him that his brother had returned and his father was celebrating.  They also told how the father killed a fatty, flavorful calf for the event.  The news greatly angered the righteous elder brother.  The elder brother was prideful and considered himself much better than his brother,  even though his brother had earnestly changed.  Because he was extremely upset about it all, he selfishly sulked and fed his anger.  The elder brother proved his un-forgiveness, ultimately, by not going in to join the festivities.

The loving father came out and pleaded with his difficult son.  But the eldest son replied: ' I've worked as hard as possible for you.  I've faithfully labored and you never rewarded me like this.  You never killed a pathetic goat for me!  Yet when this immoral pig of a son of yours comes home after gambling away your money, you celebrate by killing the best animal we've ever had!'  The elder son went on to point out, again,  that his father was showing favor to the younger son who was completely undeserved.  By saying these things the elder brother verbally disowned his 'looser' of a brother.  His father patiently explained that it was right to celebrate, because his brother who was lost was now found.  The son who had been in darkness was now in the light; they should rejoice!

Christy.

A while back I read a book titled Christy by Catherine Marshall.  I enjoyed it a bit more than I should have.
Regardless, it was still a ridiculously good book.  I wrote a book report on it for school.

Here it is:

Christy is a genuine story, written by Catherine Marshall Lesourd.  The copyright of this book is 1967, also done by Mrs. Lesourd.  Christy is published by Avon Books Incorporated.  Catherine, as an author uses her maiden name only.  Thus, the novel is by 'Catherine Marshall', though her name is indeed Catherine Marshall Lesourd.  The editor of this powerful book is Leonard E. Lesourd.  Christy was first published in 1967.

The setting of our brilliant book is one of great depths; rural Cutter Gap, Tennessee in the year of 1912.  Now you must understand, though the year was indeed 1912, in ways traveling to Cutter Gap was like traveling back a century.  I say this for an abundance of reasons,  one being the mountaineers were without modern transportation; I say mountaineers for they were, the story takes place in the Wild Appalachian Mountain Ranges.  Another reason Cutter Gap was like a flash from the past was the culture overall.  The culture was rich and authentic, full of 17th and 18th century ideas from their Calvinistic ancestors.  Which brings me to another point,  their religious beliefs had been handed down, and twisted along the way, from their legalistic Scottish/Irish ancestors, too.  Another major thing that made Cutter Gap well, Cutter Gap, were the people.  The people of Cutter Gap were truly unlike any others.  They felt deeper than most humans and were often Iron-Willed, Fun-Loving, Rough n' Tough, Tenderhearted, Drunken, Sharp, Vulnerable - all in the same person!  The setting to this beloved classic makes the plot a most curious one.

As I've said, the characters of Christy are extremely unique and full of deeper depths that we usually find in people.  There are more than many crucial characters to this charming read, but I must only mention the most key ones, beginning with Christy herself.  Christy Huddleston is a small, brilliant, lively, and exceedingly determined 19-year-old.  In her eyes, Christy's well-off life in Ashville is dull.  Longing for something MORE and adventure brings her to be the Cutter Gap school teacher.  She is mesmerized by these intriguing mountaineers, they immediately capture her.  God uses these people and their mountains to forever-change Christy.  I could go and on about Miss Huddleston, though I shall move on.  The next crucial character is the remarkable Alice Henderson.  Miss Alice, as we know her, is the founder of the Christian mission which Christy works for.  She is an older lady - about fifty when our tale begins.  Miss Alice is oozing with such supernatural peace, love, and acceptance that Christy has never seen before!  Miss Henderson is truly a woman of noble character.  Her influence plays a large part in the people of Cutter Gap.  Another main character in Christy is David Grantland, the young minister of The Cove.  David is big, charming, studious, and has a wonderful sense of humor.  David is not quite sure who he is or what he believes.  Finally, there is Neil MacNeill, the doctor of The Cove.  Dr. MacNeill is a most curious man.  He is muscular, tall, strong-willed, extraordinarily knowledgeable, and oh so different from the others.  The Characters of Christy make for an undiminishing enjoyment of the book.

The concentrated upon theme for our story is Christy and her transformation from Ashville Christy Huddleston to Cutter Gap Christy Huddleston.  Mrs. Lesourd truly makes her theme one of beauty, bringing the characters, setting, plot to life intensely through Christy's eyes.  In all,  the book's theme accurately brings our history to life in true mountain style.

The main events of this book are ample in supply.  Christy's many discoveries of God are just a few.  Dr. Neil's layers being transformed and peeled back.  The radical impact on Christy made by Miss Alice.  The children gaining education.  The improvements of Cutter Gap, spiritually and physically.  David's astounding realization.  Deep friendships formed.  Tragedy strikes several times.  Anywho, the events of this tale are thrilling and inspirational.

The lessons taught in Christy are wholesome, heart-opening, and thought provoking.  From Christy we learn innumerable things, one being God IS.  God is constant.  He is always. He is love.  He is MORE.  From courageous Alice Henderson we can learn to love unconditionally.  From Little Burl we can learn that we are called to walk in The Love Of Christ.  From Mrs. Mchone we see the victory we have in Christ.  From Neil MacNeill we learn the power of surrender and so much more.  The lessons in this book are gripping and not irrelevant.

I thought Christy was a delightful read!  Though, this story of Mrs. Lesourd's is extremely intense.  Thus, it adds many negatives and is not for all readers.  I would recommend Christy to select people.  All in all, the author did a wonderfully splendid job at writing her book.

There ya have it folks, my book report on Christy.

In Christ.

Before I begin this post, I am obligated to sorta-not-really apologize.  I realize my past few blog posts have been slightly A.D.D and not exactly written in proper form.
This one will also be. I will strive for paragraph unity, etc., but that is not my goal in my blog posts.

In Christ we are able, if you'll only believe it!  Those who are Christians have received the Holy Spirit; we have The Spirit of Christ on the inside of us!  We CAN, through, in, and too Him, do great things!

You may be wondering as to how you get yourself to this place of truly embracing Christ in you. There isn't a formula.
There is faith.
Your thought life, it must be focused on The Lord. Speak words of faith, truth, and ultimately scriptures over yourself CONSTANTLY. Write it. Do what helps you.
Speak over yourself that He is constant. In Christ, you have strength.  In Christ, you are a Child of The light, thus you arise and shine.  In Christ, you are able.  In Christ, you are Kingdom Advancer.  In Christ, you love-well.  In Christ, you press on to know your Lord MORE.  In Christ, you go hard.  In Christ, you are redeemed.  In Christ, you walk in His light. In Christ, you are a treasure. In Christ, you are filled with love.  In Christ, you are filled with peace that surpasses all understanding.  In Christ, you walk in tune with The Holy Spirit. In Christ, you lay the idol of 'ME' down and obey. In Christ, you are delivered.  In Christ, you are positive.  In Christ , you are an encourage-er.   In Christ, you soar.  In Christ, you are wise. In Christ, you are on a mission for The Almighty. In Christ, you are set apart.  In Christ, you have overcome. In Christ, your chains have been broken.  In Christ, you have heavenly, deep soul rest.  In Christ, you are dead to sin.  In Christ, you are bringer of HE and his LIFE. In Christ, you put to death evil.  In Christ, you wholeheartedly serve The Lord.  In Christ, you have everlasting and true life, hope, love, faith and so much more.

Here are a few scriptures that help me and may help you in this way:

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.-Mark 11:24 ESV.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory....- Colossians 3:1-5  NIV.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. -Colossians 3:23-24  NIV.

Philippians 3:2-21 MSG.

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.  “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. - John 15:4-5 NIV.

Proverbs 4.

...He rescued me because he delighted in me.-Psalm 18:19

Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.
. -Psalm 1 ESV.

you whom I took from the ends of the earth,
and called from its farthest corners,
saying to you, "You are my servant,
I have chosen you and not cast you off";
fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Behold, all who are incensed against you
shall be put to shame and confounded;
those who strive against you
shall be as nothing and shall perish.-Isaiah 41:9-11 ESV.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their lifewill lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?-Matthew 16:24-26 NIV.

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lordis the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.-Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV.

Psalm 40 NIV.

Psalm 42 NIV.

Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. - Galatians 6:8-9 NIV.

There are also many, many more.  But I'm choosing not to put them.
Why?
Get into The Lord and His Word.
YOU are found in Christ alone.
